RSHG hosted a weeklong exhibition at the Ryde Development Trust "shop" in Union Street - the old Post Office. Attendance was fantastic, with more than 400 people coming in to look at the maps and photographs, and to read the stories and research carried out so far.

Many visitors had anecdotes and tales to tell us, or photos and documents they were willing to show and share with us.

It was also an opportunity to contact likeminded individuals from other historical groups, and a strong message emerged that we need a Heritage Centre in Ryde.
